Welcome

I’m so glad you’re here

I’m a legal celebrant, a storyteller, and a community servant at heart. My path to this work is guided by my own everyday spirituality — a deep belief in love, connection, and the magic of human milestones. I don’t follow a specific religion, which means my ultimate devotion is to you. I create and legalise authentic ceremonies for people of all faiths, beliefs, and backgrounds, as well as those with none at all.

With a lifelong background in community work and servant leadership, my focus is entirely on serving others. I also bring a rich history in theatre, which means I know exactly how to command a room, handle the unexpected, and weave a beautiful narrative.

Whether we are planning a wedding, a baby naming ceremony, rite of passage / milestone ritual or a funeral, my approach is completely down-to-earth, deeply grounded, and entirely bespoke. Your ritual should echo your unique interests, values, and story. Together, we will make your celebration deeply meaningful, beautifully structured, and filled with plenty of joy and fun.

Ceremonies

The days I help people mark

  • Weddings

Created and legalised — authentic, bespoke, and entirely yours. Your story, told properly, in front of the people who love you.

  • Baby namings

Welcoming a new person into the family and into the community — with the people, the words and the promises that matter to you.

  • Milestones & rites of passage

The turns in a life that deserve to be marked — a coming of age, a renewal of vows, a threshold crossed, a new beginning.

  • Funerals

A grounded, dignified goodbye, shaped around the person who has died and the people left holding their story.

The sun setting behind a ruined stone church, seen through tall summer grasses.
I don’t follow a specific religion, which means my ultimate devotion is to you.

May the nourishment of the earth be yours, may the clarity of light be yours, may the fluency of the ocean be yours, may the protection of the ancestors be yours. And so may a slow wind work these words of love around you, an invisible cloak to mind your life.

Kind words

  • From the very first meeting, Emma made us feel like our wedding was the only one that mattered to her. She took the time to genuinely get to know us as a couple, and it showed — the ceremony she created wasn’t a script, it was our story, told with warmth, humour, and so much heart.

On the day itself, she was calm, professional, and completely in control, which meant we could relax and just be present in the moment. She has this rare gift of making everyone in the room feel included, and more than a few of our guests came up afterwards to say it was the most personal and moving ceremony they’d ever been to.

We felt relaxed, loved, and truly cherished from start to finish. If you’re looking for a celebrant who will pour her heart into your day and deliver it flawlessly, look no further than Emma. We couldn’t recommend her more highly.

  • Emma is a wonderful celebrant. From our very first communication with her we felt confident that she had both the skills and experience to co-create a beautiful wedding ceremony together. She wove in, so effortlessly, all the different threads of poetry, music and Celtic ritual that we wanted.

On the wedding day itself, Emma helped us to feel very relaxed and at ease. So many of our guests commented how personable Emma was and how beautifully she brought us all together to celebrate our wedding ritual.

Emma is so warm and sincere, we are so glad we chose her to marry us!
